Rant - Annoyance

Okay, so I'm working on the terrain for the Shadow Squad map, and I'm creating a river. Of course, the river needs to come from somewhere. So it comes from a high-up piece of rock. So I make it go west from there, going pretty much across the map to add the effect that you'll never know where it ends or opens up to. Then, when I'm finished with the entire river, I look at it again.

The current is going east...

So I look around for like 10 god damn minutes trying to find a way to make the current go WEST like the river. It looks ridiculous having the current go AGAINST the waterfall! Like WTF!

AHHH I CAN'T FIND OUT HOW TO MAKE THE WATER GO WEST!!!!!!!

Does the river have to go west? is it possible to mirror it across and make it go the same way as the flow? Though this wouldn't really fix the only 1 way problem, it does fix the logistical error.

1- you could make the 'big rock' on the west side so that it looks like it IS flowing WEST.

2- you could (not sure if this is possible but if you want it to flow east that badly) make some unit that looks like water and rotate it... in one game they make a waterfall, which is maybe about 500 units high, go down about 400 units to make a really cool river effect. by the way, because its a doodad/unit, it is rotatable.

Make a mage there. Use the Prophet model from the campaign. The one who tells ... That Orc about stuff in the first ROC campaign. Then make it so he says "I have control over water". Explains why the current is going the other way.

or you could make an invisible unit constantly channeling a 3-wave wide stampede (making it look like a river) for the aesthetics

but actually have water underneath.
