My Computer Hates Me...

For some reason, just recently, a program called CyberDefender got into my computer and activated. What it apparently is is an anti-spyware and anti-virus that's active during the time you spend on the web. Sounds good, right?

Unfortunately, it cannot be uninstalled in any way, and blocks the connection to your computer when it sees fit. It also apparently blocks the sites to places where you can get something to remove it from. So far, I've tried to get ahold of 3 programs to remove it, all of which failed and all of which has their main site blocked from my computer.

Wtf is this? Does my computer hate me? Someone crush this bug for me!

You sure it's not spyware or malware? if so i would recommend Spybot search and destroy.

msn or email both should work, spybot or avg should kick its ass.

Ran an AVG scan over the past few hours. Picked up 3 worms and a trojan. What the FUCK.

1- go on another computer
2- download the things necessary to uninstall it and install those programs onto a flashdrive or save it to your email (i think flashdrive would work better though)
3- install the program from your flashdrive
4- uninstall the other thing

And really it was from downloading movies. I watched Shooter, Wanted, Beowulf, and Transformers all for free.

Umm, does negative reincforcement do little for you? You DL movies = Computer messed. Choice of action, download more movies. Odd.

Whenever he gets a virus, it's not. Therefore, he will continue to download movies. That is how the human mind works.

It installs itself if you let it do it. Its one of those things, that if you're searching for something. And it pops up and starts "scanning" your computer. And i'm pretty sure its a back door, and downloader. Try remove on reboot , I use it for files that vista doesn't let me delete. If that doesn't work either, just restart in safe mode, and system restore to an earlier date, kthxbai.

Check the stuff you download, shesh.
System restore is the easiest thing to do.

surprised avg didn't kill it....wonder what the 3 worms and the trojan were doing them.

If you REALLY want to get rid of it, back up all your important files onto either a CD or another HD and then reformatt your HD, then re-copy all of the data you transferred to CD/HD and this program should be gone.

Yeah, but doing that, Lagger, should be left as the left option, i had to do it once, and damn, it was annoying.
