| Just because something is not being expanded upon any more does not mean it is dying. MM&M always appealed to a certain kind of audience. | |

| I still wish we could get a coder and continue to expand MM&M. It was such a great project while it lasted. | |

| The issue with MM&M was that it was expanded too much. If anything, content needs to be removed to purify the game. Expansion simply causes more errors and conflicts in the code. If I was to ever do MM&M again, I would probably start from scratch, and make it a clean ORPG or save-able AoS. Maybe weed down the books to their bare bones and do the mulit-element books properly. I would probably even remove the ability to level a single spell of a certain element to favor a strict stat-based system with possibly leveling an entire element (all spells of that element are affected). [I would probably even change the Item system some to use a dummy "equip" unit instead of your hero for looking at and un-equipping items. That way noobs wouldn't be stuck, unable to move. But that's just a modification, not a simplicity.]
Expansion is the last thing that WCIII mod needs.

Expansion is the last thing that WCIII mod needs. You just said everything that got me into MM&M to start with. Just like cooking simplicity doesn't equal shit. No fountain, the Multi Books should actually be new spells in my opinion. Not super strong spells either, just new ideas. (Ice Burn - Freezes enemy for 1.5 seconds, deals 40 dmg per second for 6 seconds)
