Hey guys i got it working for those who didn't want to give me a deprotected map. It took way longer then i wanted and there are some bugs But if i could get a deprotected v of 7.20c i should be able to fix it and still have everything working.

Currently

People want Status updates so i will post here:

Caster system has been finished currently working on Librarys.

Over all completion 2/20 (based on amount of trigger sections).

update 6/18/2012 Sorry guys i have been swamped with school work but I'm done that now so hopefully progress will pick up.

Also, I just tested it. Everything so far (I only tested things up to level 5 lightning) works fine EXCEPT for 'push' and my friend claims he can't equip his inventory as the color green. (1v1 test)

Ya some spells like fireball and push (i haven't tested them all yet) don't work.

this is most likely because i had to edit it from java extracting and that can mess with the in game files if i had a deprotected v of 7.20c i could make it work without any skills having problems most likely. that and the fact that it would be 100x easier to fix.

So hopefully Someone with a deprotected v will reply or pm me the map because all i want is for this map to come back since it is my favorite aos/rpg ever made on wc3.

I totally agree with you man. It was one of my favourite AoS/RPG game styles until the blizzard patch - LIKE USUAL - fucks everything over.

So someone finally figured out how to overcome the map-killing patch? Nice. I'll see if I can round up the guys who have an unprotected map.

Thank you Dragonheart. This one works alright but there are some bugs most likely caused by the script editing i had to do. hopefully doing it from a unprotected v will stop these bugs.

You don't even know how long I've ached for someone to fix the blizzard-patch override on this map. Thanks again man. Avoid editing it if you could! Some of my friends feel the same way I do; one of my favourite maps.

Current known bugs:

Fireball: does not hit first target and does nothing

Push: does nothing

Smite: purma stuns

Heal: Will only heal once rather then keep healing as is is suppose to.

Revive system: can revive you in other base during great war and will revive you in the left great war base when the great war is done.

Item system: can glitch where 2 peoples item systems become intertwined and they start doping items when they try to change stuff.

Rare cases of your units attacking each other / treating each other as enemys

I will edit this when i test all the spells

Feel free to tell me if i have missed any

That's very similar to the list of bugs the original coders had to slowly overcome over time. Also, no one is getting back to me. I'm surprised at how effectively they dropped off the face of the Earth, but I'll keep trying.

I know sinister plays League, and I sent him a request that was accepted yesterday. Ill keep an eye out for him, and see if I can get a msg to him about this Very Happy

EDIT: As a matter of fact hes on right now Very Happy Hes in a game, but when he gets out, ill ask him once about it, and let you guys know what he says ^^

Yeah every time I would play League or Dota I would think about MMM xP I had friends on garena playing, but I missed the old times of big games and new players ^^ The moment I saw this I knew I had to do something to atleast try and get your attention Smile

I am now following this topic closely. I also logged on to WC3 for the first time in over 6 months yesterday.... And it's exactly the same... (Just with less players and more bots.)

Yeah bots are taking over, but they are quite useful with the lower playerbase, since you get players from all servers using some bots. I know I plan to run this on a bot as much as possible to build a playerbase when its released ^^

And sweet Very Happy I cant wait to see this finished :3 I missed this map so much ^^ So I guess you found in the scripting the bug that blizz patched that stopped the map from working?
