Tor the missiles, the geological formation, the Asian fishes, something of The Old Republic Era of Star Wars, the comics, the Toronto Raptors (TOR), the Toronto Maple Leafs (TOR), the Toronto Blue Jays (Tor), or Tales of Reality?

P.S.: If you meant The Onion Router, then no, I wouldn't pay it for, I rather download it for free.

No, I don't like MMOs, although KotOR II was great and Star Wars is one of the best Sci-Fies.

Also, I wouldn't buy any sports teams, comics or missiles (At least not now). But yeah, it would be cool to own a geological formation... And I like fishes.

Star Wars was never meant to be an RPG. The plot is way too weak for that.

This is true. Lord of the Rings would be fantastic as an RPG (and it is). However, with something with a storyline as poor as Star Wars where it's mainly just action and a bunch of stupid people saying stupid love lines, I doubt it'd make for a good RPG.

Avatar was also great... (Plot-wise, not just the special effects).

Also, you hm.... know something about Star Wars other than the movies? Because the story is EXTREMELY developed, every little detail. For example, in the movies, a lot of the characters, like most of the separatists, were not even mentioned, they appeared on screen, but they didn't say a word, I believe the only separatists to have an at least decent appearance on the movies are Viceroy Nute Gunray and Count Dooku.

Someone should make a movie using complete CGI. Like Final Fantasy Advent Children. Those movies are better than the ones with actors, considering they look more unique and the actors don't ever fuck up.

I guess you're right, who the hell likes movies like "In the name of the Father", "Apocalypse Now", "The Bridge on the River Kwai", "There Will Be Blood", "The Godfather", "Pulp Fiction", "The Lord of The Rings", "All The King's Men (2006 Version)", "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly", "Inglourious Basterds", "Twelve Monkeys", "The Book of Eli" (just added it to keep things recent), "Meet Joe Black", "Fight Club" (Yah I love Brad Pitt, so what? He's amazing), "The Big Lebowski" (Best comedy EVER), "Platoon", "The Squid and The Whale" (I really liked that movie), The Hannibal Saga, "Schindler's List", "12 Angry Men", "Casablanca", "Gone With The Wind", "Vanilla Sky" (Great movie), "City of God" (One of the best foreign films), "Citizen Kane", "Gran Torino", "Forrest Gump", "The Shining" (Best horror movie), "Pans's Labyrinth", "The Elephant Man" (This movie is so beautiful), "Slumdog Millionaire" (Probably the best foreign film), The new Batman movies, "No Country for Old Men", "Fargo", "District 9" (I loved that movie), "Into the Wild" (One of the best movies completely centered around 1 character), "Juno", "Awakenings" (This movie is so sad!), "Che Guevara" (Parts 1 and 2, there are 2 parts), "Big Fish", "Planet of the Apes", "Edward Scissorhands", The Rocky Saga, "Crash", "Rain Man", The Star Wars Saga...

AND DON'T FORGET THE TV SERIES!
For this category I only need to mention one to prove its worth: "Lost".

P.S.: The comments on some movies are semi-random, it doesn't mean I like them more or less; for example, "All The King's Men (2006)" and "The Bridge on the River Kwai" are my #1 movies, yet I didn't comment on them.

Ya you got trolled again. This kid watches plenty of movies and says they don't suck.

It's also common sense. CGI movies are rare, and one of his reasons are being unique. If a lot of CGI movies came out they wouldn't be unique. Actors not fucking up isn't an issue with professional actors, at least when you compare them to the ability of programers and artists to fuck up equally as likely.

Season 1 and 2 of Lost were fantastic. Season 3 was decent with the exception of 2 episodes being like pulling teeth. Season 4, 5, and 6 were subpar at best. You chose a terrible series to use for this category. Try one that hasn't been going on as long, which is fresh and new or at least give me something that has been good over the long haul like Supernatural or Burn Notice. In fact, House would've been the absolute best one to use.

Breaking Bad>Lost

Total agreement with KyleRing's analysis of Lost.

Breaking Bad is magnificent, but there's just nothing nearly as good as Lost. Of course a lot of people dislike it for either complexity/depth or religion.

House, good, wouldn't call it the best, ER was much better.
supernatural is ok.
Burn notice, never watched that.
The other example of TV Series I considered was Law & Order, which, although one of the most successful and respected TV Series of all time, I maintain, doesn't get anywhere near Lost.

Quote :

Long? Are you serious? It's only 6 seasons long; Law & Order is long, with over 20, ER with 16, etc.

Also, you mentioned Supernatural as good over the LONG haul, again, it's 5 seasons long.

P.S.: The change of topic is amazing.

Most shows go on for an average of about 5 seasons before getting bad. Lost went to 3 before getting bad. It's not that great of a show. Also, ER I haven't watched so I wont judge, but Law and Order is pretty a bunch of old crackheads with wheezy voices thinking they're pro detectives. CSI is a much better crime show, and the only one I truly respect as of this time.

Law & Order is aimed towards the old people. That's why it got popular. For us young folks, it's nothing good.

You're clearly the classic american public who wants things kept simple.
CSI is extremely bad, specially the acting and script, they're always explaining to each other how to do basic stuff. Come on, they have around 10 years in the job yet they explain to EACH OTHER what the hell DNA is every time they do a DNA test (I used DNA as an example).

I like complexity and shows that require the use of one's mind.

P.S.: How coincidental you dislike Lost since Season 3, when it started to get more complex by the episode...

Simplicity isn't a bad thing. Most people watch TV to get away from the complexity that is life. It's meant to be a distraction from life, something to help relieve stress - a form of catharsis. Usually thinking isn't going to make this an easier task.

Acting is one of the arts, you do realize that?
Simplicity is not good when it's present everywhere and complexity becomes a rarity.
What you call "Complexity of Life" is really hardship of life, and it's not even all that present in American society (Which is a bad thing really, as that society is degenerating so quickly).

Also, there can never be enough complexity, it's what keeps things interesting, it's good, positive for the mind, it's just... great.

Complexity doesn't make a good show. A good show makes a good show. There's a huge difference. The fact that it got more complex than it already was destroyed a ton of the viewers. Take a look:

List of Lost Episodes

To make life easy, I'll give you the average for each season:

Season 1: 15.69 mil
Season 2: 15.50 mil
Season 3: 15.05 mil
Season 4: 13.40 mil
Season 5: 10.94 mil
Season 6: 10.08 mil

As you can see, season 1-3 had a steady 15 million viewers. However, after that, the ratings dropped to 13 million viewers because season 3 wasn't that great. Many stayed because they still liked it, others stayed because they were hoping it would get better. The 3 million who did stay watching it left during season 5 after they realized it wasn't getting any better. The massive dropoff is why they cancelled Lost.

Doesn't matter SinisteRing - he's saying that Majority vote =/= Reality. In a sense he's right, it doesn't mean it's got worse because less people viewed it. Especially with his reasoning that Americans are simple and the show got more complex.

Anyway, you're heavily underrating simplicity. You say acting is an art. And? Simple art is bad somehow? Some of the funniest jokes are just one liners or a few sentences. You don't need a whole story behind one joke. Some of the best books and plays are simple in plot but that doesn't make them bad. Children's books for example. Some of the best paintings are very simple. Does adding more strokes to a picture somehow make it better? What about science? The best theories are the more simple. An argument summed up in one line is better than an essay if the effect and message ends up being the same.

Simplicity is elegant.
