Well, here I was, creating an avatar...doodooo...and once I'm done, I noticed that it's kind of jagged. Anti-aliasing curves out jaggedness, so I did a quick Google to see if there was any quick solution to curving out this crap, (as everyone knows, I'm not that great of an artist, and indeed, not at all that great at making things smooth). I rejoice - there is.

Unfortunately, it seems to be disabled. It's suppose to be Layers > Type, and then Anti-Aliasing, but the Type step is completely disabled for me. I don't know why. I switch to every single bit-rate, (8, 16, 32), and every single mode, (RBG, Indexed, even Grey Scale, etc), and none of it did anything. It's still disabled. I googled to see if anyone else had this problem, and nobody apparently does. I spent two hours just looking for some way to do it, and I still haven't figured it out.

tl;dr can you see anti-aliasing in Photoshop CS4?
