I just woke up and I really need to write this down. I had a dream that I simply don't want to forget, and I think it might be important. Call me an idiot if you don't think so, but I'm going to describe it in as much detail as possible.
I was an observer. I simply watched the scenarios unfold. The location of the dream was probably in the south. There were many black people, 2 of which played vital roles in the dream. I don't have names for these people, but I don't care. I'll give them a name, even though they did not have one to me.
The first character was a black man, who I'll call Jumal. He wears a green shirt and was a leader with an iron fist. He had many of the people in the area under his thumb and was controlling. The other was his brother, who I'll call Victor. Victor wears a blue shirt and he has no authority in town.
During the dream, there is an invasion. Out of a nearby lake, a metal monstrosity appears and begins to move around, searching for a location. Jumal takes his people and tries to fight it, afraid of what it might do. In return, the monstrosity defends itself and kills a few people.
The monstrosity finds its way into a nearby "square" of sorts. It is a square out in the open surrounded by 4 walls, with a way to move around inside those walls. In the center of the square, the metal begins to shift and turn, and begins to take root. It now starts creating a home. There is nowhere to run, and it's at its most vulnerable state. The people outside are wondering what to do about it, but Victor takes a stand. He enters towards it right then and there, while everyone else stays back, afraid of what may happen. Jumal prepares weapons and his people to attack when things go wrong. They watch from inside the wall.
Victor begins to speak with the monstrosity, to find it is a girl. The voice is etheral and seems deep inside Victor's head. He likes it, though. He doesn't catch her name, but finds out that the being he speaks to is an alien. It came from a different planet that is now destroyed and is searching for a home here. During this conversation, there is a wireframe being extended around, and the alien is almost completely turned into a building within itself. It's hard to describe, but it no longer looks like a house, it looks like a building. As a defense mechanism, it also summons many bugs, akin to hornets, to protect it against humans while it shifts and takes shape.
Victor keeps talking to the alien, and begins to like her. He gets to the point that any romance movie would get to, that "first kiss" scene, which is, of course, broken by the sounds of Jumal rushing in thinking that the alien has seducted him into doing terrible things. He tries to stop them, and manages to turn them back into the wall, with Victor there inside.
Jumal has brought a sacrifice, thinking it would help. It was a white man, probably a redneck. However, he had no choice but to be carried towards the alien and be given as bait. Victor watched as the scenario unfolded. As the man was carried towards the alien, the swarms of hornets attacked. Not the man himself, but the people carrying him. They dropped the man and ran for their lives. They didn't have much success, but Victor leaped in and tried to kill the hornets to protect the victims of the attack. In return, the hornets attacked him, and killed him.
And that's when the dream ended. I think it's a pitiful ending, and I hate it terribly. However, I think there's something to talk about with this, and I hope you all think so too.
