Do we have a soul ?

This really depends on if you believe in God or some form of spirituality. Probably highly correlated with "Do you believe in God?" Don't see much debate sparking from it as each side has nothing to really put forth.

Hmmm possibly, but I would like to see the points of view from other people that don't believe in God. And what would be there thoughts. Maybe shouldn't be put in debate section +\

I believe that we are pretty much souls inhabiting a body, but then of course there are many complications to it...

Some other things I believe in:
-Aliens (either here on earth or out there somewhere)
-Ghosts
-A higher power

I would call the unique sentient experience within each individual a Soul, but I wouldn't say it is a spiritual matter at all. I suppose I'm combining individuality and sentience together to equate to a soul.

I'm curious as to who voted no, since Rhys believes in some sort of soul. Who am I forgetting that's atheist on these forums? Although I guess it's possible to not believe in a soul and not be atheist.

Well what is a soul... I guess that question would need to be probed as well. I'm definitely not an atheist. Can't do it. Can't deny that there is some kind of "divinity" in life. Oh well. But yeah there it is. Oh well for the second time.

If the "Soul" is anything non-physical, than I certainly argue that a physical being like ourselves cannot have/possess a "Soul" in any shape or form.

And, if "Soul" is being defined as a physical entity, then there's no reason to talk about it, because that would make it a simple misinterpretation of the mind/body.
