| I'd like everyone's input on how important a good AI is for a map that involves creeps. Does running around suffice? Should they cast spells during combat? Should they build nests and possibly their own den? Should they have a massive amount of AI making them artificially smarter than a human being?
I just want to know how much AI is enough to suffice in a game that has creeps that you're able to kill. Rate it from 0-5

| Smart enough to do interesting things and cast spells and maybe even run when severely injured. But they don't quite have to have human intelligence. | |

| I don't know a whole lot about how easy it is to make and modify the built in wc3 AI stuff, as separate from triggers and JASS, but if you're doing JASS based AI it might eat up quite a bit of processing checking all kinds of conditions, especially if you make it smart.
If you can make them build stuff, it makes the game a bit more dynamic and interesting IMO.

I just want to know how much AI is enough to suffice in a game that has creeps that you're able to kill. Rate it from 1-10 O wait, it only goes up to 5. Voted 3. Smart as an average player...uses spells and runs around and builds averagely. If....you really wanted you could give the AI actual levels of difficulty which would be awesome....but unnecessary.

That's call a virus, ;D Anyways, average to smart. Average is okay, but smart makes it more life-like. Impossibly strong is kind of stupid, as you know it's a machine, because whenever you do something, it always counters it perfectly.

| Viruses aren't sentient, they follow orders given to them by the programmer who makes them. | |

| What if you made the AI vary based upon the creature, so ogres would be quite a bit stupider than furbolgs, and gnolls a bit above zombies and such? | |
