| I was wondering, do you enjoy working on MM&M? Also, do you have any kind of ETA on the next version? (Nothing specific anything; but are we looking at a month, or a few days, or what?) Do you still care about the map? Do you still care about the community of the map?

| to my knowledge rhys is working on a rather large project in the map atm, which should deeply enhance the rpg portion of the game, dunno if he wants to keep it secret but I'm not blabbing just in case he does, but from what he told me we may have a few more weeks to wait. From his previous responses I can tell you this: he doesn't specifically enjoy working on the map, but he doesn't want it to die, and he works on it a few hours nearly everyday. | |

| Last few weeks have been srs busns for Rhys irl, so I don't think there's been a whole lot of progress on MM&M since then, but I saw what was done prior to the busns and I was pleased. | |

| Here's the crux of it: I've been trying to play and get back into the map, but there is just no one left. There's like 3-dozen of us (Total) that get on at random times and try to meet up, but the game's not fun unless you get at least 6 or so. With this few people, it's nearly impossible to play and the map is no longer spreading. (Randoms won't join it. I don't know why.)
So, if Rhys no longer cares, I'm just not sure there is enough of a community left for him to spend his time on. Basically get out more version and then a few updates to balance and bug-fix it and I see no reason to continue since the map seems kinda dead. If he can do something that revitalizes the map and/or brings in new people, that would be awesome. Otherwise I just don't know anymore.
So yeah, I care, but I just don't know that there is any hope left. Everything has just kept degrading and no new people will play the map for some reason. I do know that one of the problems is the userfriendly level and the fact that it's such a long game. Maybe if we addressed the length we could get more community growth going on. (I don't know what to do to make it more usefriendly, we basically tried everything.) | |

| I'm starting to think the noob friendly suggestions I purposed should become top priority, to help expand the map some more, because MMM's fan base is rather small because of the gap in activity. | |

I enjoy being a map maker tremendously yes. Specifically i do not enjoy working on MMM. Its not because its complex because honestly I bet I know more about the system coding then the original makers do at this point. It is not my map plain and simple. I have many ideas that I would like to do but I am cut off at the knees because there is a set ideal for what MM&M should be, even if I were not I will never be able to get MM&M away from Zync. Not that its a goal of mine its just that this is Zync's map no matter how you slice it. - Quote :

I am not done with a project that I started on it, I will say that I have had mixed reviews with who I have showed it to thus far, some think its great and some think its horrible. Ive had alot of personal issues hit me at once this month and last month was no better, add in the fiasco a few months back and Ive had a very tough year. Most things slide off my back but Ive had some especially tough things to contemplate lately and its really taken its toll on my work in MM&M for the past week and a half. - Quote :

Yes I do. Even if its only 6-12 players that randomly meet up for 2v2 games here and there it is that very single reason of a few people that log in looking for a little bit of fun that I still work on MM&M. | |

| ha pegged it perfectly. Now as for modding someone elses map, I know the feeling, and you are going to feel that way until you do make your own map. Once you make your own map you will find it is such a pain in the ass to start from scratch and find yourself not wanting to do it again, but then again that was just me, people like sin love to create maps from scratch even though they may not take them 2 far, and just love starting a new concept. Personally it bugs me to leave something unfinished so I take it all the way even if I myself get sick of the map. | |

| Wow, it's worth it to you for just a couple dozen people? That's real dedication man. I will agree with diaster then, that we should prioritize growing the community then. If your gonna stay working just for us, then we should work on making the map grow. I think things that shorten the game and learning curve should be the next things to be worked on. (And btw, everyone I talk to seems to know and like MM&M, they just don't play it. Usually because it's just so long that they don't have time.) | |

| I'll agree to that. The great war is too long, which is why I made that topic a while back..... Forfeit command, and changed EHP as well as Siege units and such would really help... | |
