Alright I'm sure as everyone knows, MMM isn't very noob friendly, and this drives away a bunch of potential players. In this thread I'd like to discuss solutions to make the game easier to learn so new players will be more likely to join the game. I'd also like to discuss newbs position in the war.

First off I'd like to purpose a slight change in the equip system. For equipment like armor, and staff where there is only 1 item slot, I'm like to ask that they auto equip instead of having the text window pop up. I'd also like to ask that to all the tooltips in a bright color and bold font that they say click to equip.

Next I'd like to ask that the Noob shield instead of being a shield granted to those below level 15, instead be weakened and be put in the arcane book as an ability that reduces spell damage by 50%, so that noobs can still be useful after level 15 when their spell still suck, because their stats can't power their abilities. I'd also to ask that you become able to learn elemental spells at level 3 instead of 5. These 2 changes would make noobs more powerful in games with level 62 players cause currently it is pretty brutal to play a level 15-30 mage in a game with level 62 mages, so much so that even I didn't want to play cause of how useless my character was.

Next I'd like to ask that the auto-team organization become a formula instead of just setting the teams based on level. If memory serves it was something like this:

(Current gold + equipment gold value)/27 + skill points and abilities skill point value + 5*|15-level|

This equation basically takes into account the level of equipment the player has, the level of their spells, and their level when balancing out the teams, meaning a level 62 with full elemental equip weigh mores then a player who just barely hit level 62. It also makes level 1 players have a non 0 value so you won't end up with 11 against 1 games in the other player is like 30 and the other players are all level 1.

Summary of suggestions:
Make armor equip w/o text box
Change tooltips to include in a bold bright color, "click to equip"
Make noob shield a skill in arcane book that provides 50% spell reduction damage
Allow players to pick element at level 3
Make team balancer use a formula

It would be nice if everything besides books or things that can equip to multiple slots skipped the text window.

people also dislike the general slowness of the game, between movespeed and how long it takes to level (in a normal game i mean, its much better in -an).

Which is a reason I ask for the arcane book to get the noob shield and for you to start learning your element at level 3, to speed up the general process, and make the game more enjoyable for noobs.

I like the idea of speeding up the game and having a more friendly equipment system.

One other thing I've been rolling around in my head is another way to get rid of the gap of uselessness between levels 15-35 and another idea that came to mind was that we lower the level cap to level 50 and increase the skill points given out to perhaps 5 per level, a second element would then be allowed at level 25 and then the powerless gap should be cut down to only 15-25 or perhaps even smaller, which would make it more bearable for more players.
