I never liked the idea that if you can't have a Light mage next to you you can just drink a potion and be fine (Same goes for Water). Removing potions would make support mages more valuable as well.

I suggest removing potions, making them non-combat useable or making them not usuable to anyone higher then level 30.

Now on to troops.
Troops aren't really a good investment unless you want to spam Thunder Storm, playing a -an or -anns game and then it just seems wrong that you can kill any enemy mage with the 200 damage archers. During most games new players have no idea that buying troops is a idiotic idea in the beginning and they waste all their money on troops, who will be killed in 2 minutes and after that they usually leave.

Discuss.

(Don't bring up the argument that the game has a -np mode, it doen't work.)
Would have made it into a poll but what the hell is a line breake?

I think support mages are good enough. Potions are expensive, and there is always -np mode.

Troops are good late-game, but I do agree that noobs waste their money on troops usually. Troop buying should be disabled until level 15 IMO.

-np mode don't work (Guess you didn't really ready my post) and potions cost 2 gold.

I just dislike the idea that a level 62 mage can chug down a potion when 4 lowbies are orbing him.

I think potions are imba in low level games (Free ones) and make supports useless THEN.

In my opinion the best solution is to make potions cost a bit more and make them non-combat usable.

Why would you want to kill low levels? They don't really give much gold or experience.

idk if i agree with the non-combat usable or making them more expensive, I mean sure its annoying to deal w/ pot whores but a potion doesn't fully heal you in one go, or fully heal your mana like water and light do. ntm you can only use one like every 30 seconds? And i mean what happens when the teams don't have either of the mages and the other team has both? I mean w/o pots that team is screwed to the 10th degree, and even then that's going to be a ridiculously hard battle.

Wouldn't the other team with the support elements start using potions too then? Also when the enemy has such heavy support potions really don't help, unless they only have a non hero killer element to support.

potions are staying they are part of many strategies.

As far as the troops I think the real problem here is that they are identical to the troops used in the war, which makes them useless other then to create a larger push. If they had separate abilities to set them apart from the current war units then they would have new purposes to new strategies.

I sense a remake of the purchasable troops coming on.

I don't really recall any strategies that involve health potions, mana potions are useful for elements that have lousy mana regeneration. I guess health potions are part of survive the gank strategies.

potions should only be for lowbies. Um... "High-bies" should not be able to, or they should have reduced effects/cd's/no combat-consumability, or cost money.
