I'm working on an old map that I started a long time ago. I'll post information and I'd like to get a board if I could, when the project gets developed more.

Ideas for a premise or a story line? At the least some names of the villains? Or perhaps this is more of an open RPG? Have ye thought about that yet?

Crafting of the Kingdoms is designed to be an RPG with limitless re-playability. In order to accomplish that goal, I left it up to the player to decide as many of the choices needed to be made in an RPG including hero class (eg. Warrior, Marksman, Spellcaster, etc.), allegiance (Lawful, Unlawful, Good, Evil, etc.), weapon choice, armor choice, spell choice, and more. While making it a very detailed RPG, I wanted to keep the system simple so it would be easy for new players to pick up on.

I am taking a different approach on this RPG by initially making the RPG based off of player to player interaction. In my experience, the RPGs that feature creep grinding and gold/level build-up were the maps that got boring quickly. As well as player interaction, CotK is designed to feature a responsive relationship between the player and his/her corresponding Kingdom (AI). Each player has the opportunity to form an allegiance with Kingdoms, but are not ever bound to a Kingdom. Players who selected a Kingdom can betray their Kingdom, that is if they even joined a Kingdom in the first place. Players are also free to live as a wanderer or mercenary.

Each Kingdom dominates a certain region of the map, lusting to expand into other lands. Kingdoms will design plans to go to war on their own, but will take advice from characters who have shown enough loyalty to become a Lord of their Kingdom. The primary goal for each player is to become the most powerful amongst all the others, but players can work together. For players pledged to a Kingdom, the goal for victory is to destroy all of the opposing Kingdoms and spread throughout all the land. For players with no allegiance, the goal is to build their own force to take land of their own.

Not really that far... lol.

I'm pretty much doing concept design and terrain atm. I don't know JASS well enough to make my own triggers for the map, and the triggers are basically the heart of the entire RPG...

If anyone can help, I'd really like that. :p

Or at least teach me JASS. I already know JAVA and VB. It is similar to C, right? Any help is appreciated.

vJass and Java look similar. Jass and C/C++ are very similar as well. It all depends on what you use.

Those aren't the actual class names... they are a bit different.
