Add a few options, but keep some round consistent

Right now most of you guys have realized that some groups of waves can change. For example, saytrs instead of spiders, trolls instead of furbolgs.

While I am working on AI, I was wondering if I should make more rounds like them, adding a random different spawn option to the round. I enjoy the random options because they add a variety that I have not seen in any other map.

But the question always arises as to weather or not it is even important. Metal And Magic already has its units spawn from random angles. While there are some waves I will never add an alternative spawn to ( such as the Golem waves and most of the Undead ones ) is adding more variety even important?
Is variety good? Or, can it just get too much, making the game too unpredictable?

I'd like to hear what you guys think, and what kind of spawns you would like to see and where?

I think that the more waves with options the better. However, I think there should only be 2 options on a given wave. (Except possibly in special circumstances.)

So yeah, the more waves the better.
