| I've put up some superheroes and where they came from up on the list. These are simply the "strongest of the strongest" heroes that have ever been created. I'll give a short explanation on each one:
Superman One of the first superheroes with such high power, he was able to fly, lift mountains, shoot lasers from his eyes, and was pretty much invincible. His one weakness was his planet's rocks, Kryptonite, which act upon him according to their color. Green made him physically drained, red made him mentally insane, black made him spiritually split, and silver made him paranoid and delusional.
Jean Grey The strongest person in X-Men, she had a telekinetic power to the point that it was hardly able to control. She could lift entire buildings and crush them simply with a thought. She was considered the strongest hero ever in X-Men.
Sylar The "villan" in heroes, he was able to take the powers from other people in the world and use them as his own. He had a hunger for those powers, and got them from killing them, slicing their head open, then reading the brain and learning how it worked. His one "original" power was being able to tell time and correct a watch simply by listening to it.
Peter Petrelli Similar to Sylar, Peter was able to take the powers from other people. However, he did not have to take it from them, he only had to be near them to absorb its "presence" or touching the person.
Hiro Nakamura Hiro was able to manipulate time and space. This meant he could turn back, stop, or fast-forward time. He could also teleport to any location in the blink of an eye. Literally.

| I'd say Hiro, after all you don't have to be able to win in a fight to be the most powerful. The other heroes/villain's may be able to crush him, but his power IS greater. (Anyways, he could just teleport to some kryptonite if he knew where it was) | |

| Hiro is a douche who can't even use his power 90% of the time. Utter fail and gets punched in the face by Superman while he's still trying to figure out what kind of sword/dick he needs to grab for his power to work.
Sylar has potential, but still nothing quite beats "Invincible".

| Neo. GG.
But seriously, Syllar has more potential....it depends on the universe like I said before. Syllar just brings out some kryptonite, and he's ACTUALLY immortal (more so than super man) and he can get Time travel from Hiro too, because Hiro isn't always on his gaurd.
Syllar has the potential to grow. Superman does not and has a daunting weakness. But again, it depends on the universe and what you allow to happen. And it depends on if it's Peter who gets everyones powers no matter what like in Season one, or if it's the current one where he's limited. Peter is Syllar with easier access in season one.
This depends on too many things.

| I have no idea what happened later, I feel that Heroes jumped the shark a little into season 2 and I just stopped watching except on rare occasions.
In any case, Superman is like truly immortal. Even when he dies he can revive. I don't recall how Syllar is immortal at all, but meh whatever.

| Syllar is immortal because - Spoiler:
He takes Claires ability. Also note he has the ability to take everyones ability from Heroes. Hell, you could argue he could take all of Supermans abilities.
I don't understand how Superman is immortal? His whole race died. Clearly he can die too. Fucking, I wouldn't even kill him. I'd just throw him in a coffin made out of kryptonite and bury him.
